Omegle vs OddHello
A familiar format. An independent project.
If you know Omegle's random-introduction idea, you already know the starting point. Here is what to expect from OddHello.
18+ · No account · Interests optional
What carries over from the idea
The appeal is simple: meet one stranger, choose text or video, and see whether a conversation happens. Optional interests can give you a topic. There is no public profile, follower count or feed to maintain.
OddHello is not affiliated with Omegle, does not restore an old Omegle account and does not connect you to a shared network of its users. It has its own community, queue and operator.
What OddHello offers today
| Topic | OddHello |
|---|---|
| Getting started | No account. Adults must acknowledge the 18+ rule before chatting. |
| Conversation modes | One-to-one text and video, with optional interest matching. |
| Safety controls | Browser video screening, asynchronous text checks, Next and reporting, including after a recent disconnect. |
| Privacy limits | Short-lived session and text records support service and safety. Calls are not recorded by OddHello; direct WebRTC can reveal network information. |
| Waiting | Real availability determines matches. Waiting-room games and scheduled OddHour invitations do not guarantee a shorter wait. |
Choose based on the experience, not a guarantee
We do not claim that a new name makes random chat perfectly safe or that every conversation will be interesting. Read the safety and privacy explanations, start with the mode you feel comfortable using, and leave whenever you need to.
This is a guide to OddHello for people familiar with the format, not a security audit or a claim about every version of another service.
